Hello All - The weather was perfect (except for a couple of wind bursts) and it seems like everybody enjoyed the fireworks. Like 2024, 2026 profits were over $2000 and about $100 off the record profits of 2024. I consider this a huge success since prices on everything went up since 2024 and fireworks were $800 higher due to tariffs. Thanks to all of you for your generosity and support. Those that were concerned that the EC was being financially irresponsible having a picnic when we have such little money can now relax. Reviewing past results and numbers, I knew we would be okay.
We still have about 8 bags of trash by the corn cookers. If a few can take one or two bags, we will be good. Again, we have no trash service.
Did anybody find a pair of women's prescription glasses - maybe near the corn cooker section? They were Lost during fireworks.
I have to say the kids' games were the most competitive and physical (and therefore the most entertaining) I have ever seen. These kids came to win! Based on how emotional each child was when each lost, we will be providing professional mental health services and support at next picnic.
The former King and Queen Egg Saunter of 2022 winners was full of pageantry; they really milked it and thank you for that. When Bet and I went out the earliest we ever have and could not win our 6th King and Queen Egg Title, we root for the Crystal Beachers that have been around for decades and extremely happy to see Jacqueline and Dave Blythe win. That family has a great history of EGGdom.
Below is a list of picnic volunteers. This shows that it takes a village to create this event. The significant conclusion is how so many volunteer for multiple items and this list seems to be expanding. We are getting away from the " I did my hour" mentality and focusing about what it takes to allow the club to thrive. Many of the new members of past few years are really joining the club with an attitude to be very active.
Many thanks - and they were numerous - of all that donated for the fireworks and/or raffles.
As expected, we passed the goal of 100 shirts being purchased. Last time to purchase them is at this Saturday's meeting. Please do not mail any orders at this point as will not receive on time.

We are trying to notify members via email of all communications to help reduce costs like paper, ink, envelopes and postage.
We will continue to send communication via USPS to those preferring that method. But either way, we need current updated information on all our members so be sure to notify Dawn of any changes via email
