Hello all Members-
Good morning, Members and Associates - Hoping for a nice weekend!. We cant control the weather or tides, but we can control making sure you get your boat in the marina this weekend without any issues.
As stated at meeting, we will be doing random checks at ramp this weekend at various times. We are checking mainly three items. Please make sure you have your sticker(s) on any water vessels you own. If you are having a friend use the ramp, please make sure a family member is at the ramp with them and please make sure they have 300k insurance on the boat. We cant make any exceptions with these three as will not be allowed to launch your boat. That would really stink if you have a boat full of family members and friends ready to go.
Please get your boat in as quickly as possible as lines do form to use the ramp. There are always people around the ramp that will help if new or rusty with using the ramp.
Of course, you are responsible for the behavior of your friends and family.
It may be packed this weekend so please park trailers in appropriate area.
An FYI - We came in a little after 8:30pm Saturday night at pretty much dead low tide and we did not even kick up any sand. I have a 30 ft IO. Now winds were blowing in a bit so low tide was not extreme, but no mistake it was low tide. Of course, we used common sense to help with engine up and people at front of the boat, but we got in with no issues.
As stated at the meeting, if coming out of the marina favor the starboard side and then follow the angle of the dog leg 40-50 yards out. It does stay shallow for quite some distance so allow as much distance from the marina as you can before starting to plane and please do it gradually. DO NOT TAKE A SHARP LEFT OUT OF THE MARINA AS WAS SUGGESTED IN THE PAST AS YOU WILL BE ENJOYING A BEVERAGE ON YOUR BOAT AT THAT LOCATION WAITING FOR THE TIDE TO CHANGE OR HELP TO ARRIVE. Our members are always there to help if get stuck.
I am sure we will have a great weekend.

RENTAL POLICY
This is now the policy set forth by Membership for slip rentals for all members and associates.
1. You may have a total of 3 rental opportunities for the boating season.
2. If you have a rental during a regular weekend or during the week it can be up to two nights only. You must take your boat out following the rental agreement and slips will be checked for compliance. If your boat is not removed after your rental agreement has expired all future rental opportunities will be forfeited.
3. If you have a rental on a holiday weekend it can be up to 3 nights and again your boat must be removed following the expiration of your rental agreement.
4. There is a charge of $25 per night and this must be prepaid to Membership before you will be given a slip number. There are no refunds if you do not use the slip.
5. After your request Membership will contact you if a slip is available. If Membership tells you no slips are available that is final. There are less slips available this year than last year for rental as more members have chosen to use their slips. If you do not accept the Membership chairman's decision then you will forfeit all rental opportunities for the rest of the 2024 boating season.
