Hello Everybody -
A few very important points
Bev has been invaluable as the club's treasurer. She as responded quickly with any requests the EC may have and these responses have always been thorough with attention to detail. We were able to change the format of our budget reports with her leadership so they are more useful to review and analyze. Bev invests quite a bit of her personal time in labor intensive tasks including one she has been working with us to determine options and scenarios of various dues increases, which we will share on Saturday. For those that are fairly new, she was a longstanding Secretary for the club many years ago with the same dedication and commitment.
The most important aspect of Bev is the kind and trusted person she is and how she respects others. I will miss her support and guidance, but it is for good reasons. Again, she is not leaving the boat club; she is just enjoying her personal time differently.
I know of one person that will be nominated for the treasurer position, but please if interested in this or the other three elected positions, please be nominated at this weekend's meeting. I think the club benefits when there are choices.
1. We have a Poker Run this Saturday! Donna Swain has been very busy with this and it looks like we are in record breaking territory again with number of boats, number of people, and number of stops - including a new stop. This can only mean record breaking fun and stories and of course shooting for record breaking funds for the club and the winners. Donna has a link below for all captains to complete if possible so she can get an idea of how many people and how many boats, but the numbers she has provided me are exceptional. Please check the club's Facebook page and website for details. Once again she is going to top her own lofty goals with this.
2. We are going to forego any by-laws that we were going to vote on Saturday to allow the meeting to discuss the numbers for dues increase justification. The one by-law we were going to discuss is not urgent and can be discussed next year. We want to answer all questions you may have at this meeting about dues increase for further discussion and voting at Septembers meeting.
I mean we do have a Poker Run to attend so one main topic is enough.
See you Saturday!
Gerry

Please be sure to notify club secretary, Dawn Fluman, of any address, phone number or email address changes ASAP in order to help with club communication to all of our members. We are trying to notify members via email of all communications to help reduce costs like paper, ink, envelopes and postage.
We will continue to send communication via USPS to those preferring that method. But either way, we need current updated information on all our members so be sure to notify Dawn of any changes via email
cmboatclub.secretary@gmail.com or 494 Blackbird Landing Road, Townsend, DE 19734.
Thank You.
