Meeting at pavilion - this Sat.16th. 9am

5/13
First of all, thank you for all that attended last Saturday's beach clean-up as we had 51 sign up and just under 100 attended.
The more important item is all really worked hard to clean up the beach! The beach, the perimeter of the marina, and the picnic area all look great.
I am hoping that those attended and those that did not attend are planning to volunteer additional hours this year as the hour requirement is just the bare minimum to prevent you from paying a penalty. To be successful, we are relying on all to participate and volunteer more than that.
We have another killdeer nesting in the picnic area and currently have a small picnic table with traffic cones around it on the perimeter of the picnic grounds. You can observe, but please don't disrupt. I am going to buy Warning tape for her as not sure if shade from table is helpful to the eggs. They like to nest in gravel as gravel helps incubate the eggs.
We have about a dozen or so trash bags on the beach - in front of picnic area and by the port-a-potty tree. If anybody is making a dump run and can pick them up, it will be helpful. None of them are full as most are a quarter full if that much.
The EC meeting is Thursday night and depending on the results, I may be emailing you something Thursday night or Friday morning. Please be on the lookout.
Boat Club picnic is coming - Please provide your raffle ideas that you are donating to me as the list is starting to grow. All fireworks donations are accepted. Can provide donations to me or put in drop box with your picnic enrollment form. Attached again is the form and the rules. PLEASE REMEMBER PRICE GOES UP JULY 1!
Also, if you are very close friend of a restaurant/business owner that you want to recruit from the usual ones we already do get, then attached is a blank letter you can use to help get the new donation.
Thanks and see you at Saturday's meeting.
Gerry

Please be sure to notify club secretary, Dawn Fluman, of any address, phone number or email address changes ASAP in order to help with club communication to all of our members. We are trying to notify members via email of all communications to help reduce costs like paper, ink, envelopes and postage.
We will continue to send communication via USPS to those preferring that method. But either way, we need current updated information on all our members so be sure to notify Dawn of any changes via email
