Picnic Courtesy Reminders

July 11, 2026  “Picnic Courtesy Reminders” – As you know the Boat Club Picnic is getting bigger and better!  The Club does not want to place any restrictions on the number of people that can attend the picnic per member/associate member, but at the same time as the crowds get bigger we have to be much more sensitive about respecting others and respecting the rules the day of the picnic. Please make sure this year’s boat club picnic is the best ever by adhering to the rules below:

  1. Please make sure you know everybody that is coming is under your name.  You are responsible for your guests’ behavior regardless how well you may or may not know them.  If your guests are breaking the rules, then they will be asked to leave and you may be asked to leave also depending on the circumstances. Please review all of these rules with your guests before the picnic.
  2. Please be respectful of all volunteers. This includes but not limited to the volunteers at Admissions, Security, Cooks Table, Food Table, Rides, Raffles, Games, and Picnic Set-up.  You do not necessarily have to agree with every rule, but we do for one day ask you to follow them. We ask that you do not take out your disagreements or frustrations out on the volunteers. We need every volunteer and we do not want them to stop volunteering because of the stress they receive from others.
  3. We will have two colors of wristbands this year – one for  under 5 years old & one for 5 years or older.  Due to having to purchase large quantities of food and game materials, we need to make sure all wristbands are ordered before July 1, 2026.  There will be a very limited amount of wristbands available an hour before the picnic starts.  It will be “First Come, First Serve”.  After they are gone, then no other wristbands will be given out and all of those without wristbands cannot eat or be active in any of the games.
  4. Members are responsible for giving their wristbands to their guests. Guests will not be allowed to be part of the picnic until they get their wristbands from the members.
  5. Guests or members of guests giving food to those without a wristband will be asked to leave.
  6. Respect your neighbors – they are only an arm’s length away!
  7. No dogs are allowed at the picnic or beach from 11am until the end of the evening’s activities.
  8. All games  - Horseshoes, Bocci Ball, Beach Ping Pong etc. -  should be played down at the beach and not at the congested eating area and community area.
  9. No underage drinking is allowed.
  10. Please do not place any canopies, tents or picnic tables at areas designated for public use.  These areas will clearly be marked the evening before the picnic.

By purchasing wristbands you have agreed that you read these rules and will follow them on the day of the picnic.  This year’s picnic promises to be the best one ever.  Let’s make sure we are all doing our part to make this happen!!!!  See you on the beach!!!!!!!
